Vanilla is a white pigment with a gold cast. This piggie is incredibly popular for a reason! This pigment has a nice texture and applies smoothly both wet and dry. I don't really recommend using it wet because it looks about the same. The picture above has a wet swatch on the left and a dry on the right, and in real life they look about the same.
I would recommend this pigment for anyone who to use a highlight anywhere on their face. Vanilla works on almost every skintone and can work as a face highlight, eyebrow highlight, tearduct highlight and center lip highlight. The gold sheen really adds something special to this piggie, I know it doesn't really sound that special, but it is great. The only real drawback to it is that the piggie is frosty, which doesn't cater to everyone's tastes.
This is easily one of the most versatile pigments MAC has ever produced. It goes with everything except maybe silver based colors if you don't like to mix metals. MAYBE.
This pigment is definitely on the great side of MAC pigments, it has a nice texture and applies easily both wet and dry. It blends out well and is a great pigment to start out with if you want to dip your toe into the waters of pigments.
Until next time!
