Rose is a rosey-pink pigment with gold glitter. This pigment is chunky in texture and the glitter particles in it are large, which can make this pigment a bit difficult to work with. However, the color is really quite pretty in the jar and on the skin. It is almost like a duochrome, you get flashes of gold depending on the lighting.

Dry, this pigment doesn't stick particularly well to the skin and shows up a little sheer, but with a base it does okay. Wet, this pigment is a little darker and more vibrant. The pink shows up better when it is wet.

I would recommend this pigment as a eye accent or as a lipgloss. I like to wear Rose as a liner under my eyes, especially with green shadows like emerald green and golden olive.

Because of Rose's texture, this pigment is great when mixed with a clear lipgloss. It evens out the chunkiness and leaves a gorgeous color on the lips.

This pigment is definitely a little on the lower quality side from what I've come to expect from MAC pigments, but that doesn't make it a bad piggie. You do have to love the color to have the patience to make it work, but with a little effort it looks lovely and in my opinion it is worth that effort.

Until next time!
