Violet is a frosty medium blue-toned purple pigment. This pigment has a nice texture and applies smoothly both wet and dry. It can be little sheer when applied dry, but it brightens with a base under it. Wet, this pigment intensifies and gives the color a shiny metallic finish.
I would recommend this pigment for anyone who wants to rock a purple eye. This purple is especially great for the eyes because since it is more blue-toned, you won't look like you have a black eye when you wear it. I personally love wearing purple eyeshadow, so this piggie is right up my alley. This pigment would also make a gorgeous eyeliner or mascara color.
Despite being a bright color, it is quite versatile. It pairs well with browns, greens, other purples, pinks and metallics. I personally like to wear this pigment with Push the Edge, Tan or Silver Fog.
This pigment is definitely on the good side of MAC pigments, it has a nice texture and applies easily both wet and dry. It blends out well and can be as sheer or intense as you want it to be with a little work. The question is really if you are comfortable wearing such a bright color, if so I highly recommend picking this up!
Until next time!
