Violet is a frosty cranberry pink pigment. This pigment is very soft and smooth both wet and dry. It is is already a bright color  when applied dry, but it brightens and darkens when applied wet.

I would recommend this pigment for anyone who wants to use cranberry as a color. The beauty of this type of color is that it goes well on the lids, cheeks and lips. For cheeks it would be really pretty as a dark blush in the fall or winter. On the lips this would be a great frosty lip color, and on the eyes it would make a great lid or crease color.

Accent Red pairs well with browns, pinks and purples. I personally like to wear this pigment with Melon, Sweet Sienna, and Silver Fog.

This pigment is definitely on the good side of MAC pigments, it has a nice texture and applies easily  dry, but it's a little harder to work with wet. It blends out well and can be as sheer or intense as you want it to be with a little work. If you like cranberry-type colors, then this is a pigment worth hunting down.

Until next time!
